Wolfgang Unger receives Microsoft MVP Award 2009
View the MVP Profile Wolfgang Unger received the Microsoft MVP Award 2013 Microsoft is pleased to recognize and award its Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs). The MVP Award is given to thank individuals for their exceptional contributions to technical communities worldwide. When a community participant sees an MVP in a technical community, whether in a newsgroup, as a user group host, a conference speaker, or a respondent in forums, that community participant can be confident that the information shared by the MVP will be of the highest caliber and will help every user make the most of the technology. Worldwide more than 100 million users participate in technical communities; 65 of these users are active Microsoft MVPs in the category Windows Embedded.
Microsoft Windows XP Professional for Embedded Systems SP2c
Due to the ongoing popularity of Windows XP Professional as a robust and stable operating system, the inventory of product keys has been reduced to the point where it is necessary to add more keys in order to avoid impacting end users of Embedded Systems. These are the product keys that are printed on the Certificates of Authenticity (COAs) affixed to Embedded Systems preinstalled with Windows XP Professional for Embedded Systems. To address the shortage of product keys, MS has released SP2c which expands the product key range to support distribution of Windows XP Professional for Embedded Systems through end of life which is currently planned for December 31, 2016.
Windows Server 2008 for Embedded Systems Availability
Windows Server® 2008 without Hyper-V™ for Embedded Systems, in multiple editions, will be available on April 1, 2008. Windows Server 2008 for Embedded Systems, with its smaller footprint, new virtualization and security technologies, and low acquisition cost, is the most robust and reliable foundation on which to deliver dedicated solutions and appliances offered by Microsoft to-date.
